FIFE WIN U15 SCHOOLS
NATIONAL TROPHY

EAST & Midlothian under-15 select side were beaten 3-1 by Fife in the final  of the Scottish Schools National Trophy at Hallhill, writes JOHN FRAME. The E&MDFA coach said: "We got off to a really bad start, giving away a poor goal inside five minutes and Fife totally dominated the rest of the first half, scoring their second goal just on half-time after another defensive error. With all five substitutes on in the second period,  we played  a lot better  and put on a  fair amount of pressure  and James Guy scored a great goal with 20 minutes left.  A couple of half chances   followed  but Fife got their third with two minutes left to clinch  it.  They were the better side  and
deserved their win.  At least  we showed in the second half what we could do and restored a bit of pride after a really poor  first half"
